Indonesian Movie Awards (IMA) held by TV station RCTI since 2007. IMA appeared after the controversy surrounding the results of the Indonesia Film Festival 2006. However, the existence of the IMA is not to rival the FFI but rather enrich public appreciation of film form Indonesia. IMA give awards best film based on the assessment of the jury and most favorite film based on the selected number of sms received Committee support most.
