Synopsis
The plot tells the story of a Polish village residents over seven years since the outbreak of the Second World War. The village is located on the eastern borders of the country, so September 17 is occupied by the Soviet army. Soon after, all of its residents are packed into a train and deported deep into the Siberian wilderness. Fate, which has experienced hundreds of thousands of Polish citizens, we can explore the example of what happened to a group of main characters. They include John Valley, a former soldier, then an ordinary farmer, his son Staszek, a friend Staszek zinnia and a single mother of three children, Irene.
